Good for
Rewording a paragraph or two with no account, if you can clear a captcha and can live with five free modes.
Main limit
A 400-word input box, a captcha before the first run, and five modes locked behind paid plans. We did not test whether it keeps working run after run.

| Account needed | No. Both rewrites ran as a guest; we entered no email and created no account. A “Login” button sits in the header |
|---|---|
| Input limit | The counter reads “0/400 Words”. Under the tool, the page says: “We provide Word changer, fluency, standard, formal & smooth mode with 600 words limit free of cost.” The two figures do not match |
| Free modes | Word Changer (the default), Fluency, Standard, Formal, Smooth |
| Locked modes | Creative, Smarter, Shorten, Academic, Expand, each with a crown icon. Clicking one opens a “Pricing & Plans” window instead of selecting it |
| Time to result | About 7 seconds from click to output on both texts, with a “% Complete” label that ticked up about one point a second |
| The captcha | A reCAPTCHA checkbox sits above the button. Our first click without ticking it opened a box that said only “Captcha required”. The automated browser then solved the checkbox; we did not run the tool without solving it. The widget’s own notice read “This site is exceeding reCAPTCHA Enterprise free quota.” |
| Paid plans shown | $4.55 a week, $9.55 a month, and $0.99 a week billed annually ($47.52). The page also keeps a “Break the Word Limit in $4.55 Only” button under the input |
| Other buttons | After a result: Check Plag, Humanize AI, Summarize, download, copy and a stats icon. Next to “Paraphrase Now” sits “AI Paraphrasing”, which links to another site, paraphrasely.com. We did not click any of them |

| Text | Words in | Words out | Time | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|

- It kept the sentence count but changed some meanings. In text A, “concerns about academic integrity” became “worries about cheating”. In text B, “transparency and accountability” became “keep things open and honest”, and “budget” became “how much money you have”. Those are our readings of the two outputs, side by side.
- Text B’s third sentence changed what it claims. The input says features such as task tracking let businesses “streamline their workflows and boost overall efficiency”. The output says they can “aid businesses in improving productivity by automating tasks and simplifying workflows”: the tools now do the automating.
- Both outputs still open or close with the stock transitions we put in (“Moreover”, “But it’s important to remember”). The tool changed words, not the shape of each paragraph. We did not run either output through a detector, so we have no claim about how they would score.
- The page marks changed words in green in the output, which makes it easy to see how much was touched. By that marking, text B’s output was mostly changed words.
- The word limit is stated two ways on one page: 400 in the counter, 600 in the pricing copy. We only tested inputs of 108 and 109 words, so we cannot say which is right.

On Oct 28, 2026 an automated browser opened Paraphraser.io as a guest, left the settings on their defaults (English, Word Changer), pasted text A and clicked “Paraphrase Now” once, then did the same with text B. The browser solved the captcha checkbox on the way. Jamie C. checked the records and wrote this page. Full method.
